St Patrick's Day marks the life and deeds of St Patrick, one of Ireland's patron saints. Many cities with a large population of Irish americans tend to have parades in cities like Chicago, Boston, New York, Pittsburgh, and Seattle.The Charitable Irish Society of Boston organized the first observance of Saint Patrick's Day in the Thirteen Colonies in 1737.
